“I think it was all an engineering issue. Entering the hotel, the lobby was un-airconditioned which made checking in a sweaty , uncomfortable affair. Apparently the engineering team switches that off as energy saving. Entering the room, 2 essential light bulbs were broken, the entry hall and the bathroom. Finally, the air-conditioning was so noisy that it was almost impossible to sleep. Dirty filters and small outlets. It was convenient but I would never choose it again.”

“The cabin was very clean and check-in and out was really easy. The decor is quite dated but very well equipped if you want to self-cater. Bedside lamps would be good in the bedroom and more information in the property guide would be good e.g. which cabin bin to use for rubbish, which one for recycling, where to get laundry powder for machine etc. Eungella National Park & various walks are super close and absolutely stunning. “Solo emergency stay over as a family member needed surgery at the local hospital, booked the single cabin - had everything I needed - however I would suggest ear plugs as the highway is close, eye mask as the door is glass and a light shines through all night. Otherwise all good.”

“Clean room. Great location. Had everything we needed. Communication was fantastic as we had a late check in. Very helpful when my child got sick and we needed the hospital and a bit for time in our room. Highly recommend for your stay in Mackay. Easy access to everything. ”
